Product description The 2TB DIY Hard Drive Upgrade Bundle for the PlayStation 4 from OWC / Other World Computing is a manufacturer's kit that includes several items that may be used to upgrade and maintain your PlayStation 4. Using the 2TB 2.5" hard drive, with a rotational speed of 5400 rpm and a height of 9.5mm, the internal storage of your PlayStation 4 may be quadrupled from the stock 500GB drive that is natively included with all models. Once you remove the stock 500GB drive, it may be placed in the included OWC Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure, which interfaces with the included mini-USB 3.0 Type-B cable, allowing users to connect the drive to their PlayStation 4, where it may be used to transfer any current content to the new 2TB drive, as well as perform system backups, system restores, or be reformatted for use with almost any Windows or Mac system. Also included is an 8GB Dual USB Flash drive, which once formatted as FAT32, may be used to reinstall the OS and system files onto your PlayStation 4, once they have been downloaded from Sony's website. Other items included in this kit are a Philips #1 screwdriver and a carrying sleeve. Protection is provided by a limited 1-year warranty with a 48-hour turnaround. - Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure Kit for SATA HDDs & SSDs (Black) The black Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure Kit for SATA HDDs & SSDs from OWC / Other World Computing is designed to house a separately sold SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, or SATA I 1.5 Gb/s hard drive or solid state drive so you can store and carry your music, photos, and personal data wherever you go. You simply insert a 2.5" drive up to 9.5mm in height into the ventilated enclosure to build a portable hard drive. This device supports USB 3.0 connectivity and is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 connectivity.
The Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure Kit includes a USB 3.0 cable and a carrying sleeve, and is compatible with systems running Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Please be aware that USB bus power is only compatible when a USB 3.0 or 2.0 connection is utilized, and SSDs are only supported via USB 3.0.
