Read More The 480GB Aura Pro 6G SSD for MacBook Pro 2012-2013 with Retina Display from Other World Computing is specifically designed for use with the MacBook Pro 2012-2013 Edition. It supports 6 Gbps SATA and uses the enhanced DuraClass technology with the SandForce 2281 processor to deliver high transfer speeds, endurance, performance and power efficiency. It features 512GB total flash memory with 32GB memory allocated for real-time data redundancy and error correction. The Aura Pro 6G SSD features RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) technology along with ECC protection to protect data on your drive. Intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling evenly distributes the data over the drive. Furthermore, Intelligent Read Disturb Management spreads the active read/write, eliminating data corruption. Intelligent Recycling provides advanced space management by re-writing the data over the Solid State Drive. In order to achieve a higher bandwidth potential of the SATA 6 Gbps bus standard, the Aura Pro 6G SSD uses Tier-1 Synchronous NAND instead of the commonly-used Asynchronous NAND.
