With eSATA and USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 connections, the Mercury Elite Pro mini delivers greater compatibility with a variety of systems when compared to an external drive offering a single interface.
On the inside, OWC has outfitted it with a hard drive that spins at rate of up 7200 rpm and comes armed with 32MB of buffer memory. To power the drive, a bus-powered USB port is required. Aside from power, the shock-resistant housing is made from aluminum that protects and cools the drive. Additionally, included along with the Mercury Elite Pro mini are eSATA, USB 3.0, and DC-to-USB cables as well as utility software for backups and maintenance. - USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 port (backwards compatible with USB 2.0)
