Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More The Mercury Elite Pro Dual Thunderbolt 2 RAID Array from OWC / Other World Computing features two bays that each sport an 8TB hard drive to deliver a total raw capacity of 16TB for your Thunderbolt-equipped system. The two 3.5" hard drives are preconfigured in a hardware RAID 0 array that strips the data across both drives to provide speeds of up to 474 MB/s. You can reconfigure the drives in a RAID 1, SPAN, or individual mode utilizing the hardware RAID controller. Other notable features include an aluminum enclosure and a quiet fan to cool the drives and internal components.
To keep up with the fast transfer speeds from the drives, the dual Thunderbolt 2 ports have a 20 Gbps bi-directional channel for each port. The Mercury Elite Pro also has a USB 3.0 connection for greater compatibility with a wider range of systems. Moreover, Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 cables are included so you can start storing and editing right out of the box. - Dual Drive Hardware RAID
- The Mercury Elite Pro Dual with Thunderbolt 2 technology is a suitable RAID solution for creative workflows, project archives, and system backups. Inside are two drives, easily configured in RAID 0, 1, span, or independent mode.

- The Mercury Elite Pro Dual comes with two Thunderbolt 2 ports, one USB 3.0 port, and all of the cables you need for use with almost any system. Ready to perform in RAID 0, it's also easily configured in RAID 1, span, and independent modes to match your workflow needs.

- With dual Thunderbolt 2 ports, the Mercury Elite Pro Dual supports Thunderbolt daisy-chains that enable you to expand your workstation's capabilities with up to five additional Thunderbolt devices, including high-speed storage, expansion chassis for specialist workflows, and even a high-definition display.
- Cooling
- The Mercury Elite Pro Dual features a heat-dissipating, brushed-aluminum design with a whisper-quiet, variable-speed fan. In addition, smart power conserves energy and extends the life of the drives inside. The Elite Pro Dual automatically spins down during periods of inactivity, and powers on and off with your workstation.
