Product description Compact and shock resistant, the Mercury Elite Pro USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing is designed to complement the storage of Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. It supports drive capacities up to 6TB using its one SATA III 6 Gb/s 3.5" bay that also supports SATA II 3 Gb/s and SATA 1.5 Gb/s drives. This enclosure is equipped with one USB 3.0 port, one eSATA port, and two FireWire 800 ports, while also being backwards compatible with USB 2.0, USB 1.1, and FireWire 400. When connected using USB 3.0 or eSATA, it can achieve data transfer speeds up to 300 MB/s. FireWire 800 provides speeds up to 100 MB/s, USB 2.0 provides speeds up to 60 MB/s, FireWire 400 provides speeds up to 50 MB/s, and USB 1.1 provides speeds up to 1.5 MB/s.
The Mercury Elite Pro USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure operates using an included 100~240V power supply that runs at 50/60 Hz. While the enclosure is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, please bear in mind that Linux compatibility is only supported using the USB and FireWire interfaces. However, Windows and Mac users are able to use the USB 3.0, FireWire 800, and eSATA ports. Also included is a 36" USB 3.0 cable, a 36" eSATA cable, a 36" FireWire 800 cable, and a vertical stand. Protection is provided by a limited 1-year warranty with a 48-hour turnaround time. General Features - Performance
