Product description Designed to house a single 3.5" SATA 6 Gb/s drive, the Mercury Elite Pro with +1 Port from OWC is an expandable USB 3.0 enclosure that does not include a hard drive (you have to provide a hard drive and install it yourself). The "+1 Port" is a powered USB 3.0 port that lets you attach an additional external drive directly to the enclosure. The enclosure supports data transfer rates of up to 219 MB/s and can act as a boot drive for Mac computers that support booting via USB. The Mercury Elite Pro with +1 Port features a fanless brushed-aluminum chassis that remains cool and quiet even during extended use. - Enhanced Data Transfer Rates
- Engineered to meet the needs of creative pros, the Mercury Elite Pro with +1 Port can transfer data at speeds up to 219 MB/s.
- Expandability
- The Mercury Elite Pro with +1 Port can play the role of an expansion hub. The +1 Port lets you attach an additional USB drive, including a bus-powered drive, directly to the enclosure.
- Fanless Design
- A fanless, brushed aluminum chassis offers maximum heat dissipation to keep the drive running cool and quiet, while shock isolation keeps the drive safe and protected.
