Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More The OWC / Other World Computing Mercury Rack Pro 32TB (4 x 8TB) Four-Bay 1U Rack SAS Storage Solution comes with four 8TB enterprise hard drives that provide a total storage capacity of 32TB for your workstation. These drives have been designed to be more reliable than standard hard drives. It connects to your system via the single mini-SAS port and the included 3.3' mini-SAS cable. When used with a separately sold external mini-SAS card, the Mercury Rack Pro offers drive transfer rates of up to 24 Gb/s.
The 3.5" drives spin at 7200 RPM and have 64MB of cache per drive, 256MB total for the solution. You may configure these drives into a RAID array that delivers data performance, redundancy, or a combination of both. For cooling, the Mercury Rack Pro sports three quiet 40mm fans that spin at a constant speed. Furthermore, the flexible form design allows you to convert the Mercury Rack Pro Storage Solution to a desktop form factor using a Phillips screwdriver, and simply removing the rack ears and installing the included anti-skid, vibration-dampening feet. - External mini-SAS hard drive enclosure
