Product description The Mobius Pro 2-Bay USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C RAID Enclosure from Oyen Digital is a dual-bay RAID enclosure for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It offers users the choice of hardware-controlled RAID 0, which offers improved performance but no data redundancy, or RAID 1, which mirroring the contents of one drive to the other for 1:1 data redundancy, but at the cost of performance. If you don't need the benefits of a RAID, JBOD and SPAN modes are also available. JBOD lets you use each drive independently, which SPAN, which is also known as Combine or BIG, creates one large storage drive.
This enclosure connects to your system using a USB Type-C interface, which supports the 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 standard. If your system doesn't support USB 3.1, the Mobius Pro is backward compatible with 5 Gb/s USB 3.0. Since it uses the same connector as USB Type-C, this enclosure can also be used with Thunderbolt 3, but bear in mind that it will still run at USB 3.1 speeds. It is not compatible with Thunderbolt 2.
The Mobius Pro features a trayless design for a user-friendly drive insertion and removalprocess. It stays cool using a quiet exhaust fan, as well as thermally-efficient aluminum that helps maintain stable operating temperatures to prolong the life of the drives and enclosure. Using the integrated LEDs, you'll be able to monitor operational status and drive health/activity. Included is a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, a power cord, and a key set for the lockable bay door.
