Product description The PEPAMPACOUSTIC Portable Preamp for Acoustic String Instruments from Palmer is a versatile preamp that provides sound shaping options for acoustic and electric guitar and bass instruments. It can be used for gigging, recording, or practicing, and is designed to accommodate both piezo and magnetic pickups. The 3-band, semi-parametric mid control is specifically tuned for acoustic instruments.This pocket preamp features an input limiter to prevent transient distortion while a 5-position rotary notch filter eliminates resonant frequency feedback. A mode switch selects between crisp, contemporary, or warm vintage sounds, and a blend control allows you to mix the direct and processed signals.The portable preamp features an insert for external effects, a 1/8" stereo line input, a headphone output, and a footswitch-assignable thru jack to connect a tuner. For DI applications, the balanced XLR output is pre or post signal processing and is switchable.The PEPAMPACOUSTIC Portable Preamp for Acoustic String Instruments is powered by a 9V battery or power adapter and is enclosed in a rugged, diecast aluminum case with heavy-duty footswitch, convenient LED status indicators, and ground lift.
