Product description

The 14" Toughbook 54 Prime Laptop from HP is a strong and sturdy notebook built for professionals who work in challenging environments and require more than what a standard notebook can offer. It's designed with an IP5x magnesium alloy chassis to help it survive 3' drops and features a spill-resistant keyboard for accidents. Powered by a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5-6300U Dual-Core processor and 4GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM, the Toughbook 54 can efficiently multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs.

Its 14" display, driven by integrated Intel HD graphics, has a 1920 x 1080 resolution suitable for FHD content. In addition to the visuals, the display is equipped with multi-touch technology, so you can input commands by tapping, swiping, and performing other 10-point gestures. By connecting a separate display using its HDMI port, you'll be able to work on a larger display for an easier time multitasking. For storage, the Toughbook is equipped with a 500GB hard drive that spins at 7200 rpm and offers ample space for videos, images, and other digital content. Should you need more space, you can connect external storage solutions using its multiple USB ports as well as its SD media card reader that can also be used to quickly transfer files from mobile devices.

Access the Internet using 802.11ac Wi-Fi and pair compatible wireless peripherals via Bluetooth 4.1 technology to free up its USB ports for other devices. There's also 4G LTE for accessing the Internet whenever Wi-Fi is not available.Other integrated features include a pair of speakers, docking connector, and 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo port. The operating system installed is Windows 7 Professional and it comes with a Windows 10 Professional upgrade license.

  • The Toughbook 54 is MIL-STD-810G certified and comes built with IP5x-certified magnesium alloy to survive 3' drops on 26 faces. It features port covers as well as a spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad, hinges, and display. For convenience, it offers an integrated handle. When compared to the Toughbook 53, this Toughbook 54 provides improved vibration resistance and uses magnesium alloy in more areas.
    Versatility
  • The Toughbook 54 features a hot-swappable media bay that allows you to configure it while on the go. You can insert an optional second battery or DVD SuperMulti drive into this bay.
    Keyboard
  • The emissive backlit keyboard offers four levels of brightness, which adjust from a soft light to a warm glow for easy typing at night or in darkened settings. Furthermore, the rounded ergonomic keys allow for faster typing with less chance for errors.
    Enhanced Security
  • Panasonic has outfitted this Toughbook 54 with a cable lock slot, Trusted platform module (TPM) 1.2, and password security.
