Product description Enjoy versatile installation options with the Panasonic SOLID SHINE PT-RW330U 3500-Lumen WXGA DLP Projector. It has a 1.53 to 3.09:1 throw ratio with a central-lens design and other installer-friendly features to simplify setup in a variety of situations. Its 3500 lumens of brightness and 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio works together to overcome light in moderately bright rooms and provides detail in dark areas of the image. It sports a 1280 x 800 WXGA native resolution for viewing detailed video, pictures, or data at most viewing distances. The PT-RW330U features HDMI, DVI-I, VGA, and RCA composite video inputs to connect to nearly any device. Its analog audio input and output will allow you to pass sound through the projector to your sound system of choice. It is controllable via the included remote control, Ethernet, or RS-232 with various control software options. - LED/Laser-Combined Light Source for Up to 20,000 Hours of Operation
- The LED/laser-combined light source requires no maintenance for up to 20,000 hours, and with no filter to clean thanks to its sealed optics design, maintenance costs are lowered.
- SOLID SHINE Drive for Reduced Degradation in Image Quality
- The SOLID SHINE drive uses a built-in sensor designed to constantly detect the light intensity of the light source and correct corresponding changes in white balance to help maintain picture quality over time. It also allows for a high 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
- Enhanced Color Reproduction
- The combined light source is designed to produce vibrant colors with a high level of color purity.
- Up to 30x Drive Switching Reduces Color Breaking
- Color breaking is a condition in which incorrect color expression causes color flickering. The 30x drive switching, enabled in PICTURE MODE > DYNAMIC, switches the light source on and off to minimize this flickering.
- Heat Pipe Cooling System
- Cooling of the laser is performed by releasing the heat to cooling fins, then cooling with a heat pipe cooling system, suppressing temperature rises inside the projector and helping to provide stable operation up to an ambient temperature of 113°F. This cooling system also helps keep noise down to as low as 29 dB in ECO mode for fewer distractions.
- Dust-Resistant Structure
- The area between the light sources and the DLP chip and prism is hermetically sealed to form a virtually airtight structure for the optical block, helping to resist the effects of dust and other particles in the air and enabling use of the projector in a variety of environments.
- Daylight View Basic for Clear Images in Well-Lit Rooms
- Panasonic's Daylight View Basic technology helps achieve sharp, easy-to-see images with clear details in dark image areas. A built-in sensor measures the ambient light, and the projector adjusts the halftone color and brightness level accordingly.
- DICOM Simulation Mode
- The PT-RW330U offers a DICOM Simulation Mode that allows the projector to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function, for display of grayscale images. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs, which makes the PT-RW330U useful for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings, and hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.
- Rec. 709 Mode for HDTV Projection
- Enhanced color reproduction can be achieved by selecting Rec. 709 Mode, which is compliant with ITU-R Recommendation BT.709 for images with an HDTV source.
- Designed for Versatile Installations
-
- 2x Zoom Lens: For a 120"-diagonal image, the zoom lens extends the projection distance from approximately 12.8' to approximately 25.7'.
- Horizontal/Vertical Lens Shift: The shift range accommodates various room sizes and shapes. When lights or ventilation holes are located in the ceiling mounting site, you can relocate the projector to avoid them while maintaining a properly shaped image.
- 360° Installation: The projector can be rotated vertically, allowing you to install it at any up/down angle to accommodate various installation conditions.
- Lens-Centered Design: A lens-centered, symmetrical design helps simplify installation by eliminating the need for special considerations when planning the installation site.
- Multiple Connection Options
- Onboard interfaces include HDMI, DVI-I, and RS-232 serial port. The RS-232 has an emulate function that lets you integrate the projector into existing control systems when replacing previous Panasonic models. The PT-RW330U can also output audio during standby mode, which is convenient when connecting an external audio system through the projector.
- Remote Monitoring and Control via LAN
- A web browser on a computer connected through a wired LAN system lets you remotely operate the PT-RW330U and check its status. An email messaging function can also notify you regarding the overall projector status. Additionally, Multi Projector Monitoring and Control Software Ver. 2.8 is available for monitoring and controlling multiple Panasonic projectors from a single computer. The wired LAN terminal is compatible with PJLink (class 1), an open protocol used by numerous manufacturers to enable integrated control of systems that contain different brands of projectors.
- Compatible with Crestron RoomView Software
- The LAN terminal allows a computer on the network to use Crestron RoomView application software to manage and control system devices.
- No Cool-Down or Warm-Up Time Needed
- With the LED/laser light source, the image appears almost instantly, and the projector can be turned on and off quickly and as often as necessary.
- 24/7 Operation
- Because the PT-RW330U uses an LED/laser-combination light source, efficient cooling system, and a DLP chip, it is capable of 24/7 operation.
- Scheduling Function
- Scheduled operation is possible using the built-in timer function without needing a computer and software.
- Theft Prevention
- You can change the default Panasonic start-up logo to any logo you want by uploading a new logo (up to 1024 x 768 resolution) from a connected computer via the LAN or serial connection by using the logo transfer software. Other security features include a security bar, key lock, and security password.
- 49' Remote Control Range
- A unique ID number can be assigned to each projector using the included remote control unit, which can operate the projector from up to 49' away, allowing operation of a specific projector when multiple units are set up at the same location. Three frequently used functions can be assigned to the Function buttons for instant recall.
- Eco Management Functions
-
- Selectable Light Source Modes - Normal Mode prioritizes brightness; Eco Save 1 reduces power consumption by approximately 20% on average while leaving brightness virtually unchanged; Eco Save 2 minimizes brightness reduction while reducing power consumption by approximately 30% on average; Low mode prioritizes low power consumption.
- Adjusts the brightness according to ambient light conditions, and reduces light source power when able to do so.
- Reduces light source power when there is no signal input or the projector is in AV Mute mode.
- Additional Eco-Conscious Features
-
- Lamp-free design (no mercury)
- Designed for low heat dissipation
- RoHS Directive compliant
- No halogenated flame retardants used in the cabinet
- Non-coated cabinet for simplified recycling
- Lead-free glass used for the lens
- ECO button on the remote control allows easy setup of Eco management functions
- Standby Eco power consumption of only 0.5 W
- Auto-off timer switches the projector to standby mode when no input signal is received for a preset time
- DIGITAL LINK Transmits Digital Signals Up to 328' with Optional Interface Box
- By adding on the optional ET-YFB100G Digital Interface box, which has HDMI and other terminals, uncompressed HD digital video, audio, and control signals can be transmitted up to 325' over a single LAN cable. This allows you to connect to the projector with only one cable, simplifying ceiling-mounted and other permanent or inconvenient installations. Also, since control signals can be simultaneously transmitted, the input can be switched with the wireless remote included with the projector. The projector can be controlled by either serial or LAN communication. DIGITAL LINK also supports third-party control systems, including Crestron's DigitalMedia 8G+, Extron's XTP Systems, and more. Signals from the Digital Interface Box can be relayed to projectors without DIGITAL LINK using the projector's LAN control functionality.
