Product description Built with a steel and composite design for reduced overall weight and increased durability, the TabCruzer Vehicle Docking Station from Gamber-Johnson is designed for the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 only. In creating this docking station, Gamber-Johnson has worked with Panasonic to perform the appropriate tests needed to qualify this product as Toughbook Certified.
The TabCruzer Vehicle Docking Station can be mounted either horizontally or vertically using a 75mm VESA hole pattern and alignment tabs help prevent damage to the docking connector when it is being docked with a Toughbook. Its port replicator provides users with access to two powered USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, a serial port 9-pin, an HDMI port (19-pin), a VGA port (15-pin), a Dual RF Antenna Pass-Through, and a DC power input. Additionally, this dock has been designed using MIL-STD-810G test procedures for vibration and shock resistance, and the docking station's design will also accommodate an extended battery, a smart card reader, a rear hand strap, and bumper guards.
Dual RF Antenna Pass-Through means that this TabCruzer has two connectors for external high-gain vehicle antennas to boost the Wi-Fi, WAN, Bluetooth, or GPS signal in the FZ-G1, depending on the features that the FZ-G1 is equipped with. This docking station is also "keyed alike," which refers to the fact that all docks with this manufacturer number use the same key to lock and unlock the docks. This differs from docks that are keyed different, meaning that each dock has a separate key that will not work with other docks. The TabCruzer Vehicle Docking Station is protected by two warranties. The first is a limited 3-year warranty that protects the printed circuit board and the docking connector, while the second is a limited lifetime warranty that protects all non-electrical components, such as the sheet metal and composite materials.
