Product description The Recessed Low Voltage Media Plate with Duplex Surge Suppressor from Peerless Industries provides a smart solution for routing low voltage component cables, such as HDMI or RCA cables, behind your flat-panel display, amplifier, or any other A/V device. Surge suppression is provided via the integrated Copper Wiring Devices SurgeBloc unit. A 15A/125V duplex receptacle is provided and enables you to discreetly power your devices from behind the flat panel display mount.
The plate's low profile design allows you to install it behind slim mounts and flat panels. All component cables are routed from inside the wall, giving your A/V equipment a clean look. The plate also incorporates surge suppression capabilities that protect your equipment from power surges due to lightning strikes, motor loads, as well as RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). A built-in alarm alerts you to surge suppression failure.
Owing to the slim design, there is no need for cable covers. With molded mounting wings that attach directly to your dry wall, you do not need additional low voltage mounting brackets. Installation is aided by the included installation template as well as a design that requires minimum tools for installation.
