Product description Studio Storage Solutions Read More The black 0550 Transport Case with Foam from Pelican Case is not just your ordinary strong storage transport case. This is a truly heavy-duty "portable warehouse" that can be used to haul just about anything. It's made to be moved by either forklift, wheels or by hand and its unique size and dimensions fit six 0550's in one layer of a standard 463L military pallet. It's honeycombed deck and lid provide stability and strength that permit stacking and evenness of overall weight distribution.Its injection molded construction makes for one tough case that contains foam with which you can create individual nests for your gear. With over 11 cubic feet of storage space, you can load individual pieces of large equipment or lots of small gear - each held in its own secured space. Built-in lid stays that keep the case open to 90 degrees permit more rapid and easier loading. When closing, the case features eight double throw latches that provide maximum security. For carrying purposes, two side wide grip handles provide firm handling capabilities.The 0550 is also equipped with two automatic pressure equalization values to protect the integrity of the contents even more when at altitude. For everyday use, water and dust are no problem so don't be afraid to take the case out in the rain. As an additional consideration, the case contains four extra deep indentations that permit more secure and stable use by forklift. This will come in especially handy when more than one 0550 is stacked. Two base-to-lid locking cleats are an additional protective measure when several 0550s are stacked.Backed by Pelican's lifetime guarantee, this is a rough and tough case that meets the highest standards for a shipping case.
