The black Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case with Foam provides up to 54.6 x 15.6 x 8.6" of capacity and is designed to protect its contents from impacts, moisture, or dirt. Its low-profile, built-in wheels, along with a rubberized wide-grip side handle allow for easy movement of heavy loads. For instances where this rolling case must be lifted off the ground, two additional rubberized handles are provided. Utilizing a polypropylene, ABS plastic, EPDM rubber, and stainless-steel construction, the Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case is MIL-STD-810G compliant. When closed, this rolling case's interior is sealed from dust, as well as water, while providing long-lasting resistance to wear-and-tear.
Each handle can be folded downward, helping to reduce the amount of space occupied by the Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case whether it is placed upright, or on its base. Four, molded cleats elevate the base, protecting it from wet and abrasive surfaces. While its lid faces upward, the rolling case's interior can be reached by opening the six latches along the lid. The base and lid are joined by four heavy-duty hinges, while the latches' double-hinged design prevents the Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case from accidentally opening due to bumps or shocks when in transit.
Both the base and lid also include a pair of shackle eyelets that align when closing the Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case. Two separately available padlocks with 1/4" diameter shackles can then be installed along the handles for enhanced security. While closed, two built-in valves automatically equalize air pressure between the interior and exterior of the rolling case. These pressure valves are water-resistant and further prevent the Pelican 1770 Protector Long Case from accidentally opening during air travel or when moving from areas of low altitude to high altitude. -
