Product description - PFY - MAVERICK - NEW 3 Axis Gimbal for Mirrorless and DSLR Cameras
- Maverick - Tutorial 1- Hardware Introduction
- PILOTFLY (PFY) - Maverick - Tutorial 2- Function Introduction
On the heels of their advanced H2-45 and Adventurer gimbals, Pilotfly GmbH has designed the Maverick 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer, under the brand name PFY, with a much higher 9 lb weight capacity while making it one of the lightest gimbals in its class, at only 2.2 lb with a battery included. In addition to several other new features, the Maverick comes complete with a cutting-edge follow focus system consisting of a 15mm rod-mount focus motor and a compact 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi-enabled transmitter. The transmitter can be mounted right on the side of the gimbal and used from there, or you can use it from up to 164' away to pull focus. The transmitter features an OLED screen that shows focus points A through D and displays status parameters. It includes a removable glow-in-the-dark marking disk where you can mark your focus points and see them in pretty much any lighting conditions. And it has buttons for remotely snapping photos, triggering record start/stop, and controlling zoom in/out on motorized lenses. The focus system has an integrated battery that provides a 10-hour runtime, which matches up closely to the Maverick's 12-hour runtime off an included removable battery. Pilotfly GmbH was one of the first to adopt an angled motor arm in their previous gimbals to provide a clear view of the camera LCD, and that's still the case with the Maverick. Other new features include increased motion accuracy through full 360° rotation on all three axes thanks to new 12-bit digital position encoders on each axis. Onboard controls include a high-precision 5-way joystick, an ergonomic zoom rocker, a record start/stop button, and a photo capture button. There's also an OLED screen on the handle. To change the gimbal's follow mode speed or joystick parameters, you no longer need to use a software but rather just use the onboard controls and OLED screen on the fly. To let you carry everything securely, PFY includes a water-repellent backpack that fits the Maverick, follow focus, cables, chargers, batteries, and your camera. - Key Features
