Product description The Photogenic AKC50BK 320W/s Travel Soft Box Kit with Battery (AC/DC) is a great way to achieve studio-quality lighting in-house or on location, even when there's no electricity available, at a price point that won't strain your budget. The kit is built around the lightweight, dependable StudioMax III AC/DC flash head. Like its big brother the Solair flash head, the StudioMax III employs Constant Color Technology. While it's quite common for other brands' color temperature to vary wildly when dropping from full to minimum power, the StudioMax III varies a virtually indiscernible 200K from full to 1/128 power. The 320W/s head is capable of fast recycling (3.0 sec.) at full power as well as fast flash durations at minimum power which is ideal for capturing every fleeting gesture with subjects in motion like athletes or dancers. Of course they're great for product work or portraiture as well and Photogenic has you covered on both counts. The kit includes a 24 x 32" soft box- an ideal sized light source for head and shoulders portraits or small to medium sized products. No electricity? Shooting at the beach? No problem. The AKC320BR runs on household AC power or DC power and that means battery. The included AKB-1 12V lead-acid battery with case and shoulder strap provides up to 100 full power flashes and thousands of minimum power flashes. An air-cushioned 8.0' light stand is provided to support the head and protect it from shock when adjusting its height while the battery pack mounts to it via a special bracket that facilitates quick setup and portability. The kit comes with power and sync cords, flash tube, modeling lamp and a 7.5" reflector. - StudioMax III Constant Color 320 W/S Monolight (120VAC/12VDC) The Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color Monolight offers a full six f/stop power range over 320 watt/seconds. It has internal control to ensure the same Kelvin temperature output, no matter what level of output is chosen.This light is an excellent choice as a main, secondary, or background light. Since it accepts the entire line of the PowerLight reflectors, grids, snoots, and diffusers, the StudioMax III is a good investment.This monolight is capable of operating with its optional battery pack, for working outdoors away from AC power.
