Product description

Pianoteq 5 Studio Bundle from Pianoteq features the Pianoteq 5 Pro editing and playback engine for the company's various modeled virtual instruments. Whereas the editor/player ships with a choice of two of these instruments, the Studio Bundle includes all available instruments.

The bundle provides a very comprehensive choice of pianos, both acoustic and digital, along with a variety of chromatic percussion. In addition to the items listed below, the bundle includes a Steinway D piano, YC5 Rock Piano, K2 Grand Piano, and the Hohner Collection featuring the Electra-piano, Pianet T, and Clavinet D6.
  • 6 PRO - Virtual Piano (Download) Pianoteq 6 PRO from Pianoteq is a virtual piano that utilizes physical modeling to simulate the properties and behaviors of real acoustic pianos. With a load size of just 40 MB, installation is quick and easy, allowing the software to be used on any modern laptop with a MIDI controller keyboard.

The PRO version is adapted for the creative composer and demanding studio engineer, with the primary differences over the Standard and Stage versions being the ability to adjust twenty-eight parameters for each note on the keyboard, and work with up to 192 KHz audio. Additionally, any instrument can be turned into a multi-instrument by using advanced keyboard splits for up to 105 notes.

The software comes in three flavors with a choice of two when purchased. They include acoustic pianos (D4 and K2 grand pianos), electric instruments (R2 and W1 electric pianos and CL1 clavinet) and chromatic percussion (V-B and V-M vibes, xylophone and marimba). More optional instruments can be purchased at any time and loaded into the software.

  • Bluthner Model 1 Grand Piano Add-On - For Pianoteq Virtual Piano Software The Blüthner Model 1 Grand Piano Add-On from Pianoteq features a modeled version of the famous Blüthner grand piano, an instrument revered by many of the great Classical and Romantic composers. The virtual representation is capable of producing everything from tender pianissimos to thunderous fortissimos, from bright treble notes to powerful bass. The add-on requires Pianoteq version 4.2 or above.

In 1873, Julius Blüthner, the creator of the original piano, invented a stringing system that added a fourth string to each note of the top three octaves. The additional string is not struck by the hammer but instead creates a sympathetic vibration that enhances the tone of the note. This Aliquot system is faithfully reproduced in this software version and in the standard and pro version of Pianoteq, it is possible to modify this specific parameter in order to decrease or increase the effect.
  • Kremsegg Historical Collection 1 - Four Sampled Pianos (Download) Based on four pianos in the Kremsegg Schloss Museum in Austria, the Kremsegg Historical Collection 1 from Pianoteq contains sample-based re-creations of a Dohnal pianoforte, a Besendorfer grand piano, an Erard grand piano and a Streicher grand piano. Although an obvious application is the rendering of music of the Classical period, these instruments can also be used for more recent and modern compositions.

This library is for use in Pianoteq 5.0 or higher.
  • Kremsegg Historical Collection 2 - Four Sampled Pianos (Download) Based on four pianos in the Kremsegg Schloss Museum in Austria, the Kremsegg Historical Collection 2 from Pianoteq, contains sample-based re-creations of a Broadwood pianoforte, a Pleyel grand piano, a Frenzel grand piano and a Bechstein grand piano. Although an obvious application is the rendering of music of the Classical period, these instruments can also be used for more recent and modern compositions. The Bechstein, particularly, with a design approaching that of a modern piano, is highly suitable for jazz and other modern music.

This sample library is for use in Pianoteq 5.0 or higher.
  • U4 Upright Piano Add-On - For Pianoteq Virtual Piano Software The U4 Upright Piano Add-On from Pianoteq features a modeled version of an upright piano, with twenty-one presets that emphasizes the characteristics of this instrument. Presets include Honky Tonk, Vintage, Detuned, Ruined, Bierkeller, Tacky, Wavy, Weathered, Club, and more.

Various virtual microphone positions can be employed and in the microphones section (Standard and Pro version) the distance to the nearest wall can be set, with the microphones and the lid positioned in a variety of ways. The add-on requires Pianoteq version 4.5 or above.
  • Electric Pianos Modartt's Electric Pianos contains two instruments including Rhody and Wurly. Each instrument comes with several variants and you can customize them to your own taste.

As from version 4.1 of Pianoteq, you can now enjoy the newly developed successor Rhody R2 which is a free update and replacement of Rhody R1. The sound, presence and response are all improved with increased accuracy. By using the new exciting effects in Pianoteq 4, such as Amp, Chorus, Tremolo, the new Tine noise parameters, or even the Blooming parameter (firstly intended for the Steelpans add-on), the Rhody R2 can be transformed into amazingly expressive variants. Make sure to explore the rich selection of factory presets provided.
  • Vibes Vibes from Pianoteq is an add-on for Pianoteq 5 that contains two virtual instruments: vibraphones V-M and V-B. They reproduce faithfully the characteristic sound of two well-known vibraphone brands. The V-M is a virtual copy of a Musser vibraphone (USA) that belongs to the famous French vibraphonist Dany Doriz. The V-B is a virtual copy of a Bergerault vibraphone (France).

The vibraphone is based on metallic bars, thin-walled tube resonators and damper pads, bringing the specific tonal characteristics. Thanks to the physical model, the range of the vibraphones is extended from 3 to 5 octaves. Each instrument comes in several variants. By using interface features such as mallet hardness and tremolo, you can customize them to your own taste.
  • Celeste The Celeste from Pianoteq is an add-on for Pianoteq 5 that contains two instruments: the celesta and the glockenspiel.

The celesta has an appearance of an acoustic upright piano. It consists of metal plates struck by felt hammers resembling piano hammers and there is also a sustain pedal. The timbre is very soft and subtle. The Pianoteq virtual copy is modeled after a modern five-octave German brand.

The glockenspiel is also made of metal plates but is struck by hard metal mallets held by the musician, and is smaller and higher in pitch. The timbre is much more brilliant than the celesta. The Pianoteq virtual copy, modeled after a modern French brand, has been slightly extended to cover four octaves.

Both instruments are often recognized in classical masterpieces - the celesta in Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker movement, Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy, and the glockenspiel in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute). These instruments are still used today in various music genres.

Thanks to Pianoteq's physical model, the add-on instruments come in several variants including a new and exclusive humanization feature for the strike point, achieving a variation that makes them more expressive sounding. This is particularly true for the glockenspiel where the musician never hits the plates at the exact same point.
  • Xylo Xylo from Pianoteq is an add-on for Pianoteq 5 that contains two instruments including the Xylophone and the Bass Marimba.

Xylophone and bass marimba are similar to the vibraphone but use wooden bars instead of aluminum. Each bar, that vibrates when hit with mallets, is paired with a metallic resonator which is tuned to amplify the sound.

The origin of the xylophone dates back several thousand years in Africa and South East Asia. The marimba appeared at the same time and is today the symbol of Guatemalan music. Due to its huge size, the bass marimba sounds more than two octaves below the xylophone. Both very popular, they are used in various musical styles from classical to Latin and rock.

The Pianoteq virtual copies of these two instruments are respectively modeled after a modern 3.5-octave French brand xylophone and a modern 5-octave French brand bass marimba. Thanks to the sophisticated Pianoteq physical model, they come in several variants and benefit from the recently developed humanization feature which allows varying the strike point, adding to the musician's interpretation a vivid and stunning realism.
  • Steel Pans Add-On - Virtual Instrument (Download) Steel Pans from Pianoteq is an add-on for Pianoteq 5 that includes four instruments: Steel Drum, Spacedrum, Hand Pan, and Tank Drum. Each instrument is provided with one preset faithful to the original instrument modeled and several variants.

Steel drums have their origins in Trinidad and are intimately connected with calypso music. The steel drum offered is a combination of the known types the "double second," the "tenor," the "double guitar," and the "triple cello." Its range covers 4 octaves.

The Spacedrum is a recent variant of the Hand Pan, and the first to be made available in a thirteen-note chromatic model, opening new horizons to the musicians. The Spacedrum and Hand Pan instruments offer presets for both hand playing and mallet playing. They are extended to 4 octaves. The Tank Drum is made of thicker metal from a gas tank. In Pianoteq, the range is extended to 3.5 octaves.

The Pianoteq physical model has been enriched to produce the characteristic timbre of steelpans, with their "blooming" overtones that arise from the mechanical properties of thin steel sheets. Two unique parameters, blooming energy and blooming inertia, are especially interesting for adjusting the steelpan's sound. Thanks to the physical model, the Steelpans add-on offers an exceptional playability and versatility.
