Product description The Pioneer RMX-500 - DJ Remix Station Effect Processor is designed for studio remixing and live performance applications such as DJing at a party or in the club. The controller features two rotary pressure control knobs that operate three effect sections: Rhythm FX, Scene FX, and Release FX. The unit includes a quantize function that enables real-time music analysis and synchronization of effects with the beat of the music, an Auto-BPM function for following the music's tempo, and USB-MIDI connectivity so it may be used as a MIDI-mappable controller. The Rhythm FX section provides five audio effects including: ROLL, TRANS, ADD, REV DELAY, and OFFSET which chop and manipulate parts of the music to create new rhythms. The knob allows these effects to be dynamically increased, decreased, and altered. This section also includes five instrument buttons (KICK, SNARE, CLAP, HI HAT, CYMBAL) that can be played by the user to add elements to the mix. A 4-beat sequencer with overdub control allows the user to record one bar of each instrument button to create more complex patterns. The Scene FX section features five build up effects (MOD, ECHO, SPIRAL UP, REVERB UP) and five break down effects (HPF, LPF, ZIP, SPIRAL DOWN, REVERB DOWN). You can increase and decrease the effect by turning the knob and change the effect by pressing the knob down. Two sub-parameter knobs allow for additional changes to the effects. The Release FX section features three effects (Vinyl Brake, Echo, Back Spin) and is designed to either eliminate the music that is playing and leave only the effects or vice versa. This is useful for transitioning out of extended effects sequences. The device comes with REMIX-STATION 500 Plug-In software in VST, AU, and RTAS formats which allows it to be used for applying effects within a DAW. The unit features stereo RCA I/O as well as a separate 1/4" headphone output, can be mounted on top of Pioneer's T-U101 X-stand (sold separately). - Release FX
