Three-Block Internal Layout
• The blocks for the power supply, drive/digital processing, and analog audio are separated into three separate sections to help eliminate electrical and magnetic interference between the blocks.

Rigid Construction Without Radiation Holes
• Ventilation holes are excluded to help achieve a flat form with an optical electric circuit design, and minimum mechanical noise from the rotating system.

Double-Layered Chassis
• The 1.6mm thick chassis base is reinforced with a 3mm thick steel plate called a Rigid Under Base. This double-layered chassis structure helps provide a low center of gravity and overall rigidity to help prevent the transfer of external vibration to the inner chassis and offer enhanced reading of the disc.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Playback
• The UDP-LX500 can play back UHD Blu-ray discs at up to 3840 x 2160 resolution, as well as traditional Blu-ray, DVD, SACD, and audio CDs, allowing you to enjoy the highest video resolution and the rest of your digital disc collection.

Six-Layered Main Circuit Board
• The six-layered IVH used for the main circuit board is designed to help eliminate digital noise. It optimizes the digital signal wiring and minimizes ground impedance for an enhanced S/N ratio in A/V signal processing, enhancing HDMI signal precision.

SDR/HDR Preset Mode
• In addition to "Reference" mode for reproducing the original master quality, you can select "LCD TV," "OLED TV," or "Projector" for the video quality best suited to your display type. Additionally, there are SDR/HDR presets for each mode that automatically switches between SDR and HDR modes according to the output signal.

Disc Information On-Screen Display
• You can display the disc information on your screen by pressing and holding the DISPLAY button on the remote control. In addition to the disc's details, you can check mastering information such as MaxFALL (Maximum Frame Average Light Level) and MaxCLL (Maximum Content Light Level) available on some HDR content, as well as HDMI output information.

PQLS Jitter-Less Sound Transmission
• With the quartz controller on a compatible A/V receiver, Pioneer's PQLS (Precision Quartz Lock System) helps eliminate distortion caused by timing errors. It controls the amount of audio signals from the receiver to the UDP-LX500, for enhanced digital-to-analog conversion. The Blu-ray player also supports PQLS 2-channel audio, multi-surround, and bit-stream.

Zero Signal Terminal
• The zero signal terminal is designed to tune audio and video quality without signal transmission. By connecting it with an audio or video input terminal on your amplifier, the reference level (GND) of the A/V signals is aligned between the two devices and the potential difference is suppressed, allowing a more precise signal transmission.
