Product description The silver BDR-XD055 6x Slim Portable USB 3.0 BD/DVD/CD Burner from Pioneer is a Blu-ray disc burner that has a smooth slot-loading mechanism. The drive allows users to watch Blu-ray disc titles and author high-definition Blu-ray disc content. It supports the BDXL format that offers 128GB quad layer and 100GB triple layer Blu-ray media. It can read BD-ROM discs, read/write to single, dual, triple, and quad layer BD-R discs, and is backwards compatible to read and write to DVD and CD formats. The drive is USB powered so no AC adapter is necessary. Roxio Toast Lite is the included software. Please note that an upgrade to the included software may be required to burn Blu-ray Discs. - Auto-Quiet Mode
- The drive monitors how it is being used and will adjust its disc rotation speed automatically, high-speed for data transfer, and low speed for audio and movie playback.
- Power Read
- If the drive cannot read an area of a disc, it will attempt to quickly move forward to the next available data point instead of stopping, resulting in smooth Blu-ray and DVD movie playback.
- PureRead2+
- A drive normally makes a calculated guess at the unreadable data on an audio CD. PureRead, when enabled, makes the drive re-read the obscured data to extract the original music as accurately as possible.
- Buffer UnderRun Protection
- Supports Buffer UnderRun Protection on Blu-ray disc, DVD, and CD media.
- Easy Connection
- Easily connects to Mac or PC through USB 3.0.
