Product description Enjoy wireless audio streaming and object-based, multi-channel audio with the Pioneer VSX-933 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. The receiver features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility for object-based audio support. It delivers up to 80W per channel at 8 Ohms for robust audio playback. Built-in AirPlay and Bluetooth connectivity allow you to wirelessly stream music from compatible audio sources such as computers, MP3 players, smartphones, and tablets. Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity give you the ability to stream music from Internet radio sources.
The VSX-933 has six HDMI inputs for interfacing audio and video sources, including support for HDR UHD video sources. There are also USB ports on the rear and front panels for attaching a USB drive. The free Pioneer Remote app will allow you to control your receiver from a smartphone or tablet. Built-in high-resolution audio support allows you to take advantage of dynamic surround sound formats like DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. Note: Access to certain Internet-based content may require a subscription to a service. - Supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Playback
- Object-based soundtracks allow independently mixed sound to play through any speaker in your system. Effects move all around as they do in real life, so you experience 5.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos or DTS:X formats as the director intended. DTS Neural:X is designed to identify spatial effects in multichannel soundtracks and upmix them for 3D playback, while DTS:X offers independent dialogue volume control for movies. Dolby Surround is also included to upmix legacy multichannel formats for playback in a Dolby Atmos-enabled environment.
- Dolby Surround Upmixing
- The VSX-933 can upmix other audio codecs like DTS using Dolby Surround for 3D surround sound.
- Supports 4K HDR, BT.2020, 4K/60 Hz, and HDCP 2.2
- Six HDMI inputs and one ARC-enabled output pass 4K (60p, 4:4:4, 24-bit) video in HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision formats through to compatible displays. All support the BT.2020 4K video standard and HDCP 2.2.
- MCACC Audio Calibration
- Tailor the audio to your room's acoustics with the MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration) system. With the included microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalizes response.
- Synchronized Sound with Phase Control
- A solution for the phase lag between the subwoofer and main speakers caused by the bass management filter, Phase Control compensates for the delayed bass to enhance sound synchronization.
- Powered Zone 2
- Powered Zone 2 speaker outputs let you send amplified audio to a pair of speakers in another room. Play one source in both rooms for synchronized audio, or enjoy a different audio source in each zone at the same time.
- Reflex Optimizer
- The Reflex Optimizer, which uses Phase Control technology, adjusts the shift between Atmos-enabled speaker sound and direct speaker sound and helps augment the localization of the sound image by aligning the frequencies with those of the floor speakers.
- FlareConnect Multi-Room Audio
- FlareConnect shares audio from network and external audio input sources between compatible components. Enjoy multi-room playback of records, CDs, network music services, and more with supported components and speaker systems. Music selection, speaker grouping, and playback management across the home are built into the Pioneer Remote app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play for compatible devices.
- Chromecast built-in with the Google Assistant
- Stream nearly any audio from your compatible smartphone or computer to the receiver and control playback with Chromecast-enabled apps from your iOS or Android phone or tablet, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook. If you have a smart device featuring the Google Assistant, you can cue and control music on the receiver with just your voice.
- DTS Play-Fi Wireless Multi-Room Audio
- DTS Play-Fi is a wireless protocol that is designed to work with any audio app on mobile devices and computers. Stream whatever's playing to the receiver, even different sources to different components at the same time.
