Product description The 4Mapper Coax Mapper from Platinum Tools is designed to troubleshoot and identify multiple coax cables at a clip. It’s a handy tool for technicians servicing televisions, routers, security cameras, splitters, and more. With this device, you can track up to four connections at any one time, using only one button for push-to-test functionality. An integrated tone generator is also provided.
The device tracks coax cables through individually-identified remotes, and each remote has its own color-coded indicator to indicate that signal is passing, with more indicators situated just below to indicate open, and short. A flashing low-battery LED lets you know if the unit is in danger of running out of juice, while a line-voltage warning LED also comes in handy. All LEDs are bright and easily readable in open daylight. The unit itself is relatively small and lightweight at 2.7 oz, so it'll fit easily in the palm of your hand and into your toolkit.
