Product description The Cable Prowler PRO Test Kit from Platinum Tools includes the Cable Prowler tester, #1 to 8 smart remote set, #1 to 8 coax remote set, #1 to 12 data remote set, micro USB cable, two no-fault cables, RJ45 port saver, and 12" RJ45 to alligator cable. This kit also includes a set of two F-female to F-female adapters, a BNC female to F-female adapter, a BNC female to F-male adapter, and a durable plastic carry case. The Cable Prowler tester combines the functions of a high-end cable tester and length measurement tester, with the capability to identify link status, link capability, and PoE detection. It provides full cable testing on any category network, coax, or telephone cable and will display wire mapping, numbered ID remotes for network and telephone cables, and any faults, including shorts, opens, miswires, split pairs, and reverses. The Cable Prowler measures cable length using TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology and generates tone levels for signal tracing and cable identification on all pairs, a selected pair, or a selected pin. All of the test results are displayed in a full color graphical display for easy viewing in any environment. The tester also has the ability to name each cable and save all the generated test results. Furthermore, the generated cable results can be exported to a computer via the included micro USB cable for record keeping and printing. The tester enables quick identification of network drops link capability and current link status. It also detects the presence of PoE on the network drop and the class of PoE per IEEE 802.3 af/at with load test for voltage drop. These network tests can also be saved for record keeping and printing. The #1 to 8 Smart Remote Set allows you to test & map/identify up to 8 voice/data cables simultaneously. This set includes numbered custom (#1 to 8) remotes for easy identification. Each remote is compatible with CAT6, CAT6a, CAT5e, CAT5, CAT4, and CAT3 shielded and unshielded cables. The #1 to 8 Coax Remote Set lets you map/identify up to 8 video (coax) cables at once. This set includes numbered custom F remotes (#1 to 8) for easy identification. The #1 to 12 Data Remote Set enables mapping/identification of up to 12 data (twisted pair) cables or data ports / jacks at one time. This set includes numbered custom RJ45 remotes (#1 to 12) for easy identification. The 7.5" no-fault cable uses no-fault RJ12 connectors on both ends to assure no damage to the RJ45 jacks. It is the ideal patch cable to use when mapping or shooting tone. Extend the life of your tester by using the RJ45 Port Saver as your sacrificial cable. This cable eliminates the wear and tear from constantly plugging in and out of the tester port. Use the RJ45 alligator cable when shooting tone via the data port. The RJ45 alligator cable conductors are terminated on contact #1 and #2, so you can program your Cable Prowler to shoot tone on pair 1 and 2. Main Highlights - Displays length measurement and distance to faults for each pair in feet or meters using TDR technology
