Product description The Net Prowler PRO Test Kit from Platinum Tools combines network testing, cable verification, cable troubleshooting, and PoE voltage testing in a handheld tester. It features a full-color display and is capable of saving and printing test results from a personal computer. When testing networks, the Net Prowler can ping both IPV4 and IPV6 addresses, test TCP/UDP throughput, detect and report link speed and link duplex capability, and test the presence of VLANs. There is CDP/LLDP/NDP and VLAN identification for providing network configuration information, and a link light which blinks to identify locations on a hub, switch, or router port. You can also ping a specific URL to verify WAN connectivity and display network devices and associated IP addresses.
The Net Prowler provides full cable testing on any category network, coax, or telephone cable. It displays wire map, numbered ID remotes, and any faults including shorts, opens, miswires, split pairs, and reverses. The TNP850K1 also allows you to measure cable length using TDR technology, and generate tone levels for signal tracing and cable identification on all pairs, a selected pair, or a selected pin. The device enables quick identification of a network's drop link capability and current link status. It tests the presence of PoE on the network drop and what class of PoE per IEEE 805.3 af/at with load test for voltage drop. The network tests can also be saved for record keeping and printing. - Can save and print test results from a personal computer
