Product description Built for systems with a USB Type-C port, such as the MacBook Pro, MacBook, and Chromebook Pixel, the USB Type-C Flash Memory Card Reader from Plugable supports a wide variety of media, including SD/SDH/SDXC, microSD/SDHC/SDXC, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick XC. The reader has three slots - one for SD and MCC media, one for microSD media, and one for Memory Stick Media.
Plugable's USB Type-C Flash Memory Card Reader is plug-and-play compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. It connects to your system using an integrated 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C cable and supports card sizes up to 2TB. When working with SD and microSD media, the UHS-I bus is supported with speeds up to 104 MB/s. General Features - Add a fast 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 card reader to your USB Type-C system.
- Supports common Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), and Memory Stick (MS) card types, including SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick XC.
- SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards are supported in UHS-I mode up to 104 MB/s. SDXC and MSXC cards are supported up to 2 TB in size. Please note that the physical write-protect switch on SD cards is not supported.
- Performance
- This card reader operates at 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 speeds, which is also known as USB 3.0, and SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards are supported in UHS-I mode up to 104 MB/sec for greater SD card performance. The benefits of USB 3.1 Gen 1's increased throughput over USB 2.0 are seen on SD cards Class 10 and up.
