Product description The Polsen SCL-1075 Kit from B&H bundles two items that are quite complementary: a Polsen SCL-1075 Camera Mount Condenser Shotgun Microphone, and a dual-shoe bracket with silicon-rubber grip. The microphone, which has been optimized to reject ambient noise, operates in cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns. A battery and foam windscreen are included, as are multiple mic clips. It’s quite suited for run-and-gun applications, such as capturing interviews or recording the audio of indoor and outdoor events alike.The dual-shoe bracket, on the other hand, attaches to the bottom of the camera and provides a holding spot for the microphone. It provides a side bracket with two cold shoes, so in addition to the mic, you can clip a light onto your recorder if need be. It mounts to tripods and more, gives you a silicon rubber grip, and is compatible with most camcorders and DSLRs. - Polsen SCL-1075 Camera Mount Condenser Shotgun Microphone The Polsen SCL-1075 is a camera mount condenser shotgun microphone that allows you to capture clear, natural audio with your DSLR or camcorder.
The SCL-1075 attaches to your camera's shoe mount or to a boom pole and plugs into the camera's audio input jack. A switch allows you to change between normal (cardioid) and tele (supercardioid) modes, giving the microphone a wider or a more directional polar pattern to optimize the sound capture for different environments.
Designed to reject ambient noise and focus on the subject in front of the microphone, the SCL-1075 is perfect for "run-and-gun" productions like recording interviews and events indoors and in the field. - Excellent pick-up for intelligible vocals

An included dual-purpose thumbscrew enables mounting the bracket along with a camera onto a tripod, fluid head, ball head or other gear. The thumbscrew features a 1/4" stud on top and a 1/4" female thread underneath. A silicon rubber grip will serve as an effective handle when you use this bracket solely with a camera, and as a pan handle when you mount it on a tripod.
The two shoe mounts will let you light your subjects from the side and will also free up your camera's shoe mount. The bracket is 4.5" wide, 5" in height, and is compatible with most camcorders and DSLRs. The thumbscrew is adjustable 2.5" along the width. Note: A TTL cord is strongly recommended when using a flash combined with a DSLR.
