Product description

The Polsen UHF ENG Handheld and Lavalier Microphone Kit from is intended for portable wireless operation and can be used in several environments for applications such as electronic new gathering (ENG), DSLR video, broadcast TV, houses of worship, classroom presentations, corporate boardrooms, and more. The kit includes a Polsen ULW-16-HHT 16-channel handheld wireless transmitter (584.400 to 602.450 MHz), a ULW-16 16-channel camera-mountable UHF wireless receiver, a ULW-16 wireless bodypack transmitter, and a PL-4 omnidirectional lavalier microphone with a 1/8" (3.5mm) connector. In addition, several accessories are also included such as a line to mic attenuator cable, a line-level output cable, a carrying case, and four AA alkaline batteries.
  • Polsen ULW-16-HHT Handheld Transmitter for ULW-16 Wireless System The ULW-16-HHT from Polsen is an all-metal, 16-channel UHF wireless dynamic handheld transmitter for capturing audio. It can be used in various environments when paired with the Polsen ULW-16 receiver for applications such as broadcast TV, live stage, public speaking, and more. The transmitter capsule is offered in a cardioid polar pattern, which is ideal when background noise needs to be minimized. The ULW-16-HHT transmitter has several features such as 102 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a wide frequency response of 60 Hz to 18 kHz. It is built with a channel selector button and allows you to switch between the units 16 UHF channels. The dual-purpose integrated foam windscreen is designed to minimize vocal pops and wind noise but also to protect the mic capsule from moisture. Heavy-duty metal construction assures the ULW-16-HHT can withstand the rigors of transportation and field recording. The handheld transmitter is powered by two AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries and can operate approximately 8 hours. The ULW-16-HHT operates between frequencies 584.400 to 602.450 MHz and has a transmitting distance of over 100'.

  • Polsen ULW-16 16-Channel Camera-Mountable UHF Wireless System with PL-4 Lavalier Microphone - (584.400 to 602.450 MHz) The Polsen ULW-16 is a 16-channel camera-mountable UHF wireless system designed to transmit audio up to 300'. It is engineered to be exceptionally quiet, and with many professional features like headphone monitoring, line input, and frequency agility, the ULW-16 is ideal for EFP (electronic field production), DSLR, and many other video applications. With its impressive 105 dB signal-to-noise ratio, the ULW-16 delivers pristine audio transmission for broadcast-quality recordings. It has 16 channels to choose from to help avoid interference. Up to five systems (or more in optimum conditions) can be used simultaneously in the same location.The transmitter features a variable-level control that adjusts the level of transmission. It’s also equipped with a line input that enables the transmission of devices such as an audio mixer. The receiver features an 1/8" line output and included XLR cable for professional cameras. It also includes a cable for DSLR and consumer camcorders that have a 1/8” mic input. A headphone jack and volume control allows you to monitor the transmission signal in real time at a comfortable volume. This ULW-16 system includes a PL-4 omnidirectional 0.20" lavalier microphone for flexible positioning options and excellent wind-noise rejection. The included windscreen can be used to reduce vocal plosives (pops) and wind noise.The system operates in the UHF 500 MHz bandwidth, assuring that it is “future proof” and meets current and known future FCC regulations.With features like easy-to-read LED indicators, front-panel access to batteries, and included accessories to support operation, Polsen’s ULW-16 is designed with the user in mind.     • The included line-to-mic level-attenuator cable is designed to attach the output of the receiver to camcorders, DSLRs or other devices with a mic-level input
      Variable Level Control
    • The variable level control on the transmitter assures that sufficient level is being transmitted to the receiver to achieve the best signal-to-noise ratio throughout the signal path
      Portable Receiver
    • The receiver can be mounted onto a standard shoe mount of a DSLR or video camera

    • The RF LED on the receiver illuminates indicating there is a signal on the selected channel. LED channel indicators make the channel number easy to see even in dim lighting conditions. The transmitter's TX LED glows red to indicate that the unit is transmitting
