Product description The Polsen ULWS-16 is a 16-channel UHF wireless lavalier microphone system designed to transmit ready-for-broadcast audio up to 140' in conferences, houses of worship, interviews, theater production, and more. This frequency-agile system features a true diversity receiver, a beltpack transmitter, and a lavalier microphone along with all the accessories you'll need to get started. With 16 channels across 25 MHz of bandwidth in the future-proof 500 MHz frequency band and 10mW of RF output power, it delivers strong, versatile, and reliable signal with minimal interference for a wide variety of applications. The receiver boasts balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs to accommodate connection to the low-impedance mic input on a mixing console or the line input of a portable PA system. Its dual antennas are detachable and adjustable. The front panel's controls and display allow easy configuration and clear viewing of system parameters. The microphone utilizes a condenser capsule for sensitive audio capture and a cardioid polar pattern for off-axis noise rejection. Up to eight hours of operating time are granted by the included AA batteries. Connect the mic to the supplied beltpack transmitter, which offers selection of mic or line input mode. The system is comprised of the receiver, transmitter, microphone, batteries, windscreen, antennas, tie and belt clips, and DC power supply. - Versatile Broadcast-Quality Sound
- The UHF wireless microphone system is designed to provide broadcast-quality audio for announcements, interviews, conferences, live shows, and presentations.
- Simple Frequency-Agile System
- Offering 16 channels to circumvent interference from other components and devices in the vicinity, the frequency-agile system is simple to configure. Select matching channels on the receiver and transmitter, then you're good to go.
- True Diversity Receiver
- Two independent receiver circuits, each with an adjustable antenna, are monitored by a comparison circuit that selects the strongest incoming signal. This reduces dropouts and RF interference for a reliable and steady signal.
- Selectable Mic/Line Input
- To ensure compatibility with a multitude of applications, the transmitter can accept either a line-level signal from a mixer or a mic-level signal from a 3.5mm jack–equipped microphone.
- Balanced and Unbalanced Outputs
- The balanced XLR 3-pin output delivers a mic-level signal and minimizes RFI/EMI through common-mode rejection. An unbalanced 1/4" TS output allows easy connection to unbalanced inputs on mixers or portable PA systems.
- Transmitter Volume Control
- The transmitter offers an adjustable output volume for easy optimization of your gain stage; achieve a high output without clipping.
- Cardioid Lavalier Microphone
- The condenser lavalier microphone incorporates a cardioid polar pattern, which offers on-axis directivity while rejecting off-axis sounds such as background noise and stage bleed. A windscreen is supplied for attenuating vocal plosives and taming wind noise.
- Ready for the Future
- FCC regulations have reallocated wireless frequencies and deemed the 600 MHz frequency band largely prohibited. Since the ULWS-16 system functions in the 500 MHz band, it's compliant with current and future FCC laws.
- Long-Distance Operating Range
- The system's operating range of up to 140' allows you to maintain a strong signal while your subjects move or your camera position is changed. Under optimum conditions such as line-of-sight placement and tightly controlled RF interference, the range can extend to 300'.
- Convenient Powering Options
- The beltpack transmitter can be powered via rechargeable NiMH batteries (available separately) or the included AA batteries, which grant approximately eight hours of operating time.
