Product description The blue CBA-PDW700B Camera Body Armor from Porta Brace protects your Sony camcorder from dust, dirt, and sun. The "Lammy" micro suede exterior material is not only odor and tear-resistant but gentle on the finish of your camcorder while the breathable mesh interior helps with heat dissipation by maximizing air flow and also helps minimize any potential scratches. The unit is built for heavy-duty use, comfort and ease of use. Extra padding between the layers deliver added protection against incidental bumps.
The cover is custom fit and secured with zipper and touch fastened flaps. It's easy to install and remove and serves to protect the camera during field work. A strong neoprene gasket surrounds and holds the lens firmly in place preventing the cover from slipping around while you're shooting. The built-in rain cover, accessible from the side pocket, is black and white reversible. The black side is used for rain protection while the white side is for heat deflection. This double barreled approach to protection gives the cover even more value. A vinyl viewing window, covered by a touch fastened flap, guards the screen. The cover is able to be used either on or off your tripod.
Even though the exterior material is soft to the touch, it's meant to withstand the rigors of ENG or EFP style shooting. This soft, micro suede material is also useful during long periods of shooting since it won't irritate the user's face. The armor also covers the viewfinder offering added protection from the elements. The rear section of the cover contains a zipper that allows the camera owner to use larger brick batteries. If the extension is removed, the owner simply zips a smaller section of the case together.The kind of full-time protection this cover offers, ultimately, not only helps extend the life of the camcorder, but helps maintain its potential resale value.
