Product description The Powerex MH-C808M Ultimate Professional Charger for 8 AA / AAA / C / D NiMH or NiCD Batteries charges up to 8 nickel-metal hydride or nickel-cadmium batteries of AA, AAA, C or D size. Its Powerex microprocessor with 0.001V resolution delivers just the right amount of current to each battery, ensuring that it does not get over- or undercharged.
The charger delivers 2000mA of current for AA, C and D batteries, and 700mA for AAA batteries. Choose between Rapid and Soft charge modes; Rapid delivers a higher current in order to get your batteries charged and ready for use faster, while Soft gives you the longest battery life and allows for full compatibility with older, lower-capacity batteries. Also prolonging battery life is the low charging temperature of the MH-C808M, achieved via an algorithm.
Rapid charging time is between 1 and 3 hr for C or 1 and 5 hr for D batteries, and 1 hr AA or AAA batteries. Soft charging time for C batteries is about 2-6 hr, with D batteries taking about 5-10 hr and AA / AAA batteries requiring 2 hr. These times are the same regardless of the number of batteries being charged, and are dependent upon battery capacity.
There is an LCD screen with a white backlight showing the charging status for each battery independently. The MH-C808M utilizes durable fixed contacts, as opposed to spring-loaded ones. It's also got a sturdy DIN power connector.
The charger makes use of a deep battery conditioning system that charges, deep-discharges, and then recharges batteries automatically, whipping them into shape to ensure that they provide the best possible performance.
