Product description Bitter cold is no obstacle for the Apex Extreme Headlamp from Princeton Tec. Simply carry its external battery pack inside your coat and your body heat will allow the eight AA batteries to deliver optimal energy, powering the 550-lumen lamp for up to 200 hours of outdoor adventure. The Apex Extreme uses one Maxbright LED for its spot beam, tightly focused by a collimating reflector, and four Ultrabright LEDs for a flood beam that lights up your whole area. The light is controlled by dual push-button switches on the underside of the lamp. Total weight including batteries is 14.7 ounces, but most of that is in the battery pack; the lamp and headband are lightweight on your head. - Light Performance
