Product description The Prism Sound 8C-DSD is an 8-channel DSD I/O module offering flexible digital input and output configurations for producers, musicians, and audio engineers using a Prism Sound Dream ADA-8XR audio interface in a variety of studio environments. It supports SDIF-2, SDIF-3, and MAC-DSD / SuperMAC formats at the Direct Stream Digital resolution of 1-bit / 2.8224 MHz. One DB25 connector accommodates eight channels of SDIF-2 or SDIF-3 in and out, and can be wired to BNC-equipped, DSD-capable gear via the supplied 4.9' DB25 to BNC breakout cable. The RJ45 port enables use of the MAC-DSD / SuperMAC format over a Cat5e cable.A Dream ADA-8XR's sample rate and sync options remain applicable to paths connected via DSD. Input may be accepted from the DB25 or RJ45 port, while output signal is sent simultaneously to both ports. The 8C-DSD easily installs into the upper or lower digital I/O slot of a Dream ADA-8XR (available separately). - Eight channels of digital audio I/O at 1-bit / 2.8224 MHz
- Supports SDIF-2, SDIF-3, and MAC-DSD / SuperMAC formats
- Supplied breakout cable features a DB25 female connector on one end and 17 color-coded BNC jacks on the other
- Easily installs in an ADA-8XR upper slot (DIO1) if no workstation I/O card is fitted, or in the lower slot (DIO2) if a workstation card is fitted
