Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More The DS316JS 48TB 16-Bay SAS-3 JBOD Array from Proavio is a 48TB direct-attached storage solution that is designed to handle 2K and 4K media workflows. The DS316JS is outfitted with sixteen hot-swappable bays that can hold 2.5" and 3.5" drives with a SATA or SAS interface. Each of these bays has a 3TB hard drive that features a SATA interface and a rotational speed of 7200 rpm.
The DS316JS is equipped with dual SAS-3 12 Gb/s interfaces that quickly and efficiently deliver data to your workstation. While this array natively supports JBOD and does not include any RAID controllers, it is compatible with PCIe RAID controllers that are compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as Thunderbolt 2 RAID controllers that are compatible with Windows and Mac. Once equipped with a RAID controller, the DS316JS supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. When configured as a RAID 5, sustained throughputs of up to 2,000 MB/s are supported.
The DS316JS sports two redundant 500W PSUs that powers the drives and system. For cooling, it comes with a self-monitoring, thermal-controlled cooling system.
