Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More Capture, edit, and render DPX, RED R3D, UltraHD, uncompressed HD, Full HD, 2K, and 4K formats and workflows using the EB800MS V2 16TB 8-Bay SATA RAID Array with Thunderbolt 2 Controller from Proavio. The EB800MS V2 comes pre-configured with 8 x 2TB 3.5" 7200 rpm SATA hard drives, for a total capacity of 16TB. When configured as in RAID 5 mode, the EB800MS V2 is capable of sustained throughputs of up to 2,200 MB/s.
The EB800MS V2 is equipped with two 12 Gb/s Mini-SAS ports and includes a Mini-SAS to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, allowing this array to be used on systems that are compatible with Thunderbolt 2, such as Apple's 2013 Mac Pro. Each of the two Thunderbolt 2 ports provide bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 20 Gb/s and are also backwards compatible with 10 Gb/s Thunderbolt technology. Thunderbolt technology also allows you to daisy-chain additional devices together, such as Thunderbolt storage, Thunderbolt displays, Mini DisplayPort devices, and more.
While the included hard drives use a SATA connection, this array also supports 3.5" SAS-2 6 Gb/s hard drives, as well as 2.5" SATA/SAS SSDs. The Proavio EB800MS V2 operates using a single 250W power supply that runs at 90-264 VAC and 46-63 Hz. It is compatible with Windows and operating systems, is cooled using dual 8cm how swap smart cooling modules, and also includes two HDD keys, eight hard disk modules, two external SFF8644 cables, and one standard IEC power cable.
