- Symphobia 1 - 2014 Edition (Download) The Symphobia 1 - 2014 Edition from ProjectSAM is a sound library that focuses on ensemble multi-samples in various orchestrations and orchestral groups. It can be utilized on Mac and Windows computers by engineers, producers, and musicians to create music in audio applications for films, broadcast TV, recording studios, games, and more. The Symphobia 1 collection features staccato notes played by violins, violas, horns and trumpets, together, correctly seated at the concert stage, making them sound more cohesive than a mixture of individual sample recordings of these same four elements. Other examples are the low strings patch, which has been recorded with celli and basses playing in octaves. The ensembles make up about half of Symphobia 1. The other half is all about cinematic effects. The effects are available in different orchestrations, played by different sections throughout the orchestra. You will find violin glissandi, as well as full orchestra rips and stabs. Each effect is available in a number of variations or articulations.
- 2014 Edition Update Includes
- Microphone Mixing
- Symphobia allows you to mix the two available microphone sets in realtime. This can be done individually, using the vertical mic faders, or together, using the horizontal cross fade slider. This slider smoothly morphs between a close and a stage mix
- Switch or Stack
- A button allows you to choose your preferred method of articulation selection. In switch mode, articulation selection works as of old: key-switching between one articulation at a time. In stack mode, multiple articulations can be toggled on or off
- Individual Control over Articulations
- Groups multiple articulations in each instrument file. In previous versions, these articulations could be switched using key-switches and played one at a time. Symphobia 1 allows you to independently toggle and mix articulations
- Toggling Articulations
- Click an articulation name to toggle between activating and deactivating it. This way you can combine multiple articulations and perform them together
- MIDI Toggle Keys
- You can also use MIDI toggle keys to activate and deactivate articulations
- Disable MIDI Toggle Keys
- An option is to enable/disable the MIDI toggle keys on your keyboard. Disabling these is useful in a live situation, where you don't want to trigger other articulations accidentally
- Reset Toggles
- To reset the articulation toggles to their default state (first one activated, others deactivated) click reset toggles. You can also reset toggles by using the assigned MIDI key
- Purging
- By default, all articulations are loaded into memory, regardless of whether they are activated or deactivated using the toggles. This way, toggling articulations works instantaneously. To save memory, you can unload articulations
- Symphobia 2 - 2014 Edition (Download) The download of the Symphobia 2 - 2014 Edition from ProjectSAM is a sound library with orchestral effects, symphonic effects, legato ensembles with real legato transitions, Dystopia III and more. It can be utilized on Mac and Window computers by engineers, producers, and musicians to create music in audio applications for films, broadcast TV, recording studios, games, and more. The Symphobia 2 string section adds minor and major DXF trills, different lengths of crescendo-decrescendo, new crescendos and new spiccatos in its collection. There are now effects banks entirely dedicated to ponticello, flageolet or other playing techniques. You will also find looped textures that can be triggered in different keys. These phrases will instantly give your production a realism boost, but leave enough room to add your own personal touches. Additional features of the Symphobia 2 collection are the horns, violins, and violas set, which offers real legato performance of French horns, violins and violas playing in unison. No layering was used whatsoever. The legatos, transitions and orchestrations you hear are all real. Each of the sets has been recorded in a specific range and dynamic, dictated by the orchestration and the musical context of the orchestration. Apart from the legato ensembles, also included are a number of legato solo instruments. Finally, the Dystopia section includes processed hits, spheres, scapes and risers. There are Symphobian drums included in this collection too.

- Symphobia 3 - Lumina (Download) The electronic download of the Symphobia 3 - Lumina from ProjectSAM is a sound library for Mac and Window computers featuring full orchestra, choir, smaller ensembles and a wide range of guest instruments. It can be used in audio applications by composers, engineers, and producers and utilized in films, broadcast TV, recordings, games, and more. Symphobia 3 - Lumina dives into the world of fantasy, mystery and animation. It uses thematic stories and builds on the concept by combining ensembles and instruments. Using clever keyboard mapping and controller assignments, stories give you numerous musical features on one keyboard all within a single Kontakt track. In this way, the library's ensembles, solo instruments and textures all take part in a bigger story. Furthermore, Lumina's solo and guest instruments range from legato woodwinds, such as oboe and clarinet, to a sampled celtic harp, tin whistle, and a full bell tower. The library also pays homage to the playful world of cartoons with dedicated ensembles and phrases for careful tiptoeing and tongue-in-cheek suspense.
- Lumina's Microphones
- The recorded microphone positions have been split into three fully separate channels named direct, ambient and wide. Direct is a mix of spot mics close to the instruments. Ambient is a stereo pair located behind the conductors spot and wide are 2 microphones at the very left and right sides of the orchestra
- Microphone Cross-Fader
- The microphone cross-fader allows you to smoothly morph between the close and stage 'preset mixes' of the three individual mic channels
- Section Splits for Textures
- The majority of orchestral textures now offer the ability to perform the following sections individually: strings, choir, woodwinds, and piano/harp/percussion. The exact sections available differ per texture instrument
- Symphobia Colours - Animator (Download) The Symphobia Colours Animator from ProjectSAM is a sound library that is dedicated to all things funny, and can be used when scoring cartoons, animated features, light games or sitcoms. The collection includes laughing clarinets, jazzy staccatos, xylophone winks and trombone slides. And furthermore, it pays homage to the masters of animation scoring: Scott Bradley and Carl Stalling. Featuring an ensemble that consists of (bass) clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, violin, contrabass, piano, harp and percussion, the library focuses on short, snappy and playable articulations, phrases and special effects. These recordings are grouped by action, with names such as 'Wink Wink', 'Uh Oh' and 'Laughter', enabling you to quickly find the sound you need. Animator has been updated with over 500MB of new content, including a set of cartoonesque big band phrases, additional cartoon percussion, a collection of percussive hits, and a whole bunch of bird whistles. The Animator interface allows for real-time mixing of the three mic positions, independent pitch and speed controlling, tempo syncing and on-the-fly octave shifting. All this makes Animator a most playable library.
- Symphobia Colours - Orchestrator (Download) The Symphobia Colours Orchestrator from ProjectSAM is a sound library with real legato transitions for chords. It can be used to create orchestrations in audio applications such as for films, recordings, broadcast TV, and more. The two ensembles recorded for Orchestrator are strings performing with choir and brass performing with woodwinds. A full set of legato chords is available for these two arrangements. Major and minor chords are mapped to two regions on the keyboard, allowing you to trigger and connect them using single keys. In addition to the legato chords, a number of other ensembles are available, including legato double basses performing with choir basses, violin with soprano sustains, various staccato chords as well as a bonus set of alternative chord orchestrations. Each instrument type in Orchestrator has a consistent region on the keyboard. Chords are always mapped to the same octaves, so are low basses and high sustains. This makes it easy to layer different sounds together. The included Multis give you a number of such combinations.
- Orchestrated major and minor chords with real chord change transitions
- Recorded for 2 ensembles: brass with winds and strings with choir
- Bonus tremolo chords, flageolet sustains and staccato instruments
- Bonus celli with double basses sustains from Symphobia
- Orchestral Essentials 1 (Download) The Orchestral Essentials 1 from ProjectSAM has carefully selected the essential sound libraries from each of their products, the Symphobia series, the True Strike series, and the Orchestral Brass Classic, then bundled them into one effective package. Covering full orchestra, string, brass and woodwind ensembles, classical and world percussion, Orchestral Essentials 1 gives you the tools to score for films, recordings, broadcast TV, games, and more. For each of the orchestral sections, an essential list of articulations is available, as well as one expressive legato instrument and an inspiring set of clusters, textures and effects. Apart from these orchestral elements, you will also find a concert harp, church organ, a grand piano, and a harpsichord. Strings, brass and woodwinds were sampled as sections, to provide the authentic blend of orchestral instruments in a concert hall. In addition, all samples in Orchestral Essentials 1 have been reprogrammed for the newly designed and intuitive Orchestral Essentials interface. All Multis are reprogrammed too, and, because of the inclusion of piano, harpsichord and harp are more inspiring than ever before. This makes Orchestral Essentials a library for first-time users and existing ProjectSAM owners alike.

In addition, Orchestral Essentials 2 adds five legato instruments: solo trumpet, solo flute, solo oboe, cellos performing with bassoon, and bass clarinet performing with contra bassoon.
