Product description This Arca-Type Bracket Plate from ProMediaGear provides the ability to adapt a Nikon D500 DSLR camera body to an Arca-type compatible quick release clamp. It is also a modular component that can be used in combination with other, separately-available ProMediaGear bracket plates, brackets, handles, strap connectors, or other accessories for additional functionality.
A movable 1/4"-20 mount allows the bracket plate to be connected to the bottom of a Nikon D500 DSLR camera body. While in use, front and rear anti-twist lips along the top surface of the bracket plate create an exact fit and help prevent unwanted rotation of the camera while it is adapted to a clamp. Dual retaining screws are included for use along the underside of the bracket plate. These screws prevent the bracket plate from accidentally sliding off when the clamp it is placed on is opened.
When the bracket plate is installed, its two side-facing accessory holes and the two female accessory threads in between them become oriented away from the camera's shutter-release button and towards the left when looking through the viewfinder. These accessory holes or the female accessory threads can be used to connect items such as a separately-available ProMediaGear expansion bracket or handle. With an expansion bracket, such as a ProMediaGear paparazzi bracket, a configuration can be arranged to place a flash, transmitter, or receiver adjacent to the camera. To simply obtain a more comfortable grip, a ProMediaGear bracket plate handle can be attached instead.
Alternatively, this bracket plate can be combined with a separately-available vertical bracket plate. Together, they allow a Nikon D500 DSLR camera body in the landscape orientation to be quickly put into portrait orientation.
For direct attachment to accessories such as straps, the underside of this bracket plate features a receiver for a ProMediaGear plug connector, while the top surface of the bracket plate includes accessory threads within left and right grooves that each accommodate a ProMediaGear strap loop and its retaining screws. Constructed from aluminum alloy with steel components, this Bracket Plate is durable while remaining lightweight. -
