Product description The BP2 Universal L-Cage & Port Protector for DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras from ProMediaGear can mount a camera either horizontally or vertically into an Arca-type clamp. The L-component of the cage comes equipped with an A10 port protector that prevents any damage to the camera's ports by securing a tethered cable to the cage itself. The Port Protector screws can be placed at the top, side, or back of the L-component to accommodate the placement of the cables. To gain further access to your camera's ports, the included Allen wrench, which can be stored magnetically into a slot on top of the L-cage, unlocks the L-component to slide out. The L-component can also slide forward and back to make way to some cameras that have an articulating LCD-screen. At the same time, the L-cage maintains access to the camera's battery door. There are nine 1/4"-20 sockets located on the cage, which helps you to further expand on the cage by adding accessories like an articulating arm for an external monitor, a microphone for sound, or a small external video light to illuminate a scene. Additionally, the L-cage weighing only 8.3 oz makes it extremely lightweight and also possible to balance and operate on a gimbal head while attach to your camera.
