Product description This TR344 34mm Series 59" Pro-Stix Carbon-Fiber Tripod from ProMediaGear supports up to 60.0 lb, measures 20.8" when folded, and includes a tripod top plate with a 3/8"-16 mount. Each of its 4-section legs has a maximum diameter of 34mm. They also feature an independent spread, a 3-position angle lock, quarter-turn twist locks for rapid deployment, and a rubber foot to enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces. Together, the three legs can be extended and spread to raise the tripod from a minimum height of 3.8" to a maximum height of 59.0". For use on soft and uneven soil, each of the rubber feet can be unscrewed to access a stow-away metal spike which can be fastened to the bottom of its corresponding foot.
Tripod heads, cameras, lenses, or sport optics that are compatible with a 3/8"-16 mount can be connected to the tripod's removable top plate, which is secured to the tripod's aluminum-alloy apex using six socket screws. The aluminum-alloy apex minimizes weight along with the carbon-fiber construction of the tripod legs.
Alternatively, a separately-available ProMediaGear TRBU75 75mm Tripod Leveling Base with a separately-available TRB3475 75mm Tripod Bowl Insert can be installed within the aluminum-alloy apex. A video tripod head that is directly compatible with the TRB3475 tripod bowl insert or the TRBU75 tripod leveling base's 3/8"-16 mount can be used with the TR344 34mm Series 59" Pro-Stix Carbon-Fiber Tripod and oriented without adjusting the tripod's legs.
For direct attachment of accessories that feature 1/4"-20 mounts such as the included bubble level, three 1/4"-20 female accessory threads are distributed along the sides of the apex. Alongside each of those 1/4"-20 accessory threads are pin slots that allow them to accommodate ProMediaGear accessories with anti-twist pins, or accessories with only a 1/4"-20 mount. To enhance stability, the underside of the top plate features an accessory loop which can accommodate the included carabiner along with a separately-available ballast such as a sandbag. - Use and Handling
