Product description The Promise Technology 18TB Vess A2200 NVR Storage System is a stand-alone device with a storage capacity of 18TB for storing the videos obtained from your IP cameras. You can utilize this system for medium to large-scale IP video surveillance deployments without the need for additional servers, controllers, or separate enclosures. It continuously records videos from 32 to 64 high-definition IP cameras. You connect your cameras to optional PoE switches and then to its four 1GbE Ethernet ports. Additionally, three redundant power supplies deliver continuous energy to the Vess A2200 NVR Storage System.
The Vess A2200 comes with Windows Embedded Standard 7 installed as well as an Intel Core i3-3225 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 64GB mSATA boot disk. Inside its six hot-swappable 3.5" bays are 3TB enterprise hard drives that are designed for 24 x 7 operation and can be configured into a RAID mode. To expand capacity, it can support up to 118 drives through iSCSI and JBOD expansion. The Vess A2200 has four USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports as well as HDMI and VGA ports. For added flexibility, it has PCIe slots for installing graphics cards, video encode/decode cards, or RAID cards. - Engineered for Video Surveillance
- The Vess A2200 Series NVR storage appliance is engineered specifically for mid-size to large-scale IP video surveillance deployments. Featuring fail-safe protection that provides continuous recording without dropping frames under live playback conditions, it is ideal for 32 to over a 64 full-HD IP cameras, making it suitable for banking, retail, gaming, manufacturing, and many more industries.
- Reduces Deployment Costs and Complexity
- The Vess A2200 reduces support and equipment costs because there is no separate RAID storage unit to manage, eliminating the need for a server, controller cards, external cables, and a separate storage enclosure. Additionally, the Vess A2200 reduces interoperability conflicts caused when integrating different hardware.
- Integrated Solution
- The Vess A2200 integrates the recorder and storage in a single solution, making it significantly easier to scale as your business grows. Security practitioners can easily scale with no user configuration, just plug and add. When external storage is necessary, easily scale up with Promise's Vess storage series, creating a total video surveillance solution that combines a recording appliance and external storage.
- Support for Security Partners
- Promise has certified and validated the Vess A2200 appliance with the top solutions in the industry, including applications from AxxonSoft, Genetec, ONSSI, SeeTec, Milestone Systems, and more, offering you more flexibility when building surveillance deployments. Plus, the Vess A2200 now supports the Milestone XProject plug-in, which allows you to manage the Vess A2200 via the user interface of XProject, making it significantly more convenient for you to manage the storage.
- Surveillance Solution Planner
- The Vess A2200 supports the Promise Surveillance Solution Planner, a tool that helps determine the overall installation requirements of a given video surveillance project, and makes it easier to build solutions designed specifically for the security requirements of each installation. The planner will calculate the total storage space and bandwidth needed, in addition to the requirements for recording servers and external storage, while also including a topology of the installation for reference.
