Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More czrtwzswrwwwfqffczzq The 2TB Pegasus2 M4 Thunderbolt 2 RAID Storage Array (SSD) from Promise Technology is a Thunderbolt 2 RAID storage array designed for portability for over an hour of uncompressed 4K footage as well as simultaneous streaming, editing, and backup of high-resolution videos and large multimedia files. This storage array's Thunderbolt 2 interface offers high-speed connectivity at up to 20 Gb/s, and the use of SSD drives instead of HDD drives will ensure that bandwidth isn't wasted. The Pegasus2 M4 stores up to 2TB of data and consists of four 500GB SSD drives. Actual storage capacity will differ according to the RAID configuration. These drives are hot-swappable for easy access and come pre-configured in RAID 0 mode, which is optimized for data capacity, and performance. RAID levels 1, 5, 6, and 10 are also supported; each level offers different options for capacity, data protection, redundancy, and speed.
The Pegasus2 M4 storage array has dual Thunderbolt 2 ports, one port for direct system attachment and another port for daisy-chaining up to 6 Thunderbolt 2 devices. This storage is formatted in the HFS+ file system for Mac and is compatible with Time Machine in OS X, which can be set to automatically back up your entire Mac system.
The Pegasus2 M4 is also backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 1 (10 Gb/s), can be reformatted for Windows using a downloadable driver, and includes a Thunderbolt cable. - Thunderbolt 2
