Product description Whether you need added capacity or higher-speed access to your data, the 96TB VTrak A-Class 16-Bay RAID/MDC Shared Storage Server from Promise Technology maximizes the efficiency of your storage infrastructure. The array comes with sixteen 3TB drives preinstalled, and also includes a J630SDQS3 48TB (16 x 3TB) subsystem for a total storage capacity of 96TB. SAN performance is delivered via four SANLink2 8G FC adapters with the ability to expand to NAS access via NFS and CIFS. VTrak A-Class is designed to interoperate seamlessly no matter what set of applications share the storage pool, and is supported by all major operating systems including Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows (five Mac-only client licenses included).
The VTrak A-Class system delivers high-performance file sharing across all aspects of your workflow and supports simultaneous shared reads and writes for online editing, color grading, graphics work, offline editing, transcoding, and more. The appliances combine to create a flexible multi-application ecosystem able to share files across the SAN or LAN. A-Class meets the demands of real-time multi-stream environments for HD, 2K, 4K, and 3D workflows by delivering high-bandwidth, low-latency performance from a single folder or mount point.
The controller/management software is delivered in a single platform. When combined with VTrak x30 storage arrays, the shared file environment can scale up to petabytes of usable storage and billions of files. VTrak A-Class is easy to deploy, configure, and maintain due to the embedded unified management software which combines simple-to-understand dashboards, reporting, monitoring, and administration for the entire VTrak A-Class and VTrak Client ecosystem. - Fully integrated shared storage appliance requiring no extra server hardware
