Product description The VTrak E310fD RAID Storage System from Promise Technology is a 12-bay RAID storage system with a 2U rackmount. It supports both SAS and SATA hard disk drives with speeds of 3Gb/s. It can also run any variations of supported SAS and SATA hard disk drives simultaneously. It also has dual hot-swappable power supplies, which means you can replace the power supplies without shutting down the entire system. This storage system has dual failover/failback RAID controllers, which has a total of four fibre channel host ports with JBOD expansion. This means that up to 4 Promise VTrak J-Class JBOD systems can be connected. It also supports various RAID levels simultaneously. - Intelligent Design Delivers Scalability & Upgradeability
- This storage system has dual RAID controllers which have a total of four Fibre Channel (FC) host interface ports. These FC ports provide reliable connectivity into widely deployed Fibre Channel storage networks. This is perfect for supplementing existing storage networks and for building new application storage systems. This storage system gives you the flexibility to change the host interface simply by changing the controllers and also increase your available storage by adding up to four JBOD Promise VTrak J-Class systems. One of the key advantages of SAS technology is implemented into this storage system, which is the ability to connect either SAS or SATA hard disk drives with the same interface. This simplifies data management by allowing easy SAS storage expansion and SATA storage migration
- No Single Point of Failure
- This storage system narrows the gap between simple fault tolerance and No Single Point of Failure. This storage system incorporates an intelligent cable-less system design which includes fully redundant, hot-swappable controllers, power and cooling units, which are all field replaceable. All system components are constantly monitored to ensure continuous operation in case of disk failure as well as controller, power supply or cooling fan malfunction
- Comprehensive Data Management
- This storage system features integrated management software, WebPAM PROe, which eliminates the need to install additional software on the network. This storage system, as well as other VTrak systems that are connected to your network, can be configured and monitored through a single, easy-to-manage web-based graphic user interface (GUI). The software works through the Ethernet port locally, across a LAN or an Internet connection. It can monitor other VTrak systems and provide error reporting through pop-up messages, event logging and email notification. In the event of a controller failure, the Promise's management software will seamlessly failover and failback. This storage system also simplifies integration with third-party management applications using industry-standard SNMP and CIM protocols
