Product description The VTrak E310fS RAID Storage System from Promise Technology is a 12-bay RAID storage system with a 2U rackmount. It supports both SAS and SATA hard disk drives with speeds of 3Gb/s. It can also run any variations of supported SAS and SATA hard disk drives simultaneously. It also has dual hot-swappable power supplies, which means you can replace the power supplies without shutting down the entire system. This storage system has a single failover/failback RAID controller, which has a total of two 4G Fibre Channel host ports with JBOD expansion. This means that up to 4 Promise VTrak J-Class JBOD systems can be connected. It also supports various RAID levels simultaneously. Note: Another Failover/Failback RAID controller can be added - 4G Fibre Channel Performance and Reliability
- This storage system features SAN technology, which can exceed the performance and bandwidth requirements of even the most data intensive applications. Fibre Channel's flexible and mature technology is a popular choice for mission critical applications
- No Single Point of Failure
- This storage system narrows the gap between simple fault tolerance and No Single Point of Failure. This storage system incorporates an intelligent cable-less system design which includes fully redundant, hot-swappable controllers, power and cooling units, which are all field replaceable. All system components are constantly monitored to ensure continuous operation in case of disk failure as well as controller, power supply or cooling fan malfunction
- RAID 6 Support
- RAID 6 (double parity) delivers the highest level of reliability and data protection in a cost-efficient solution. As the capacity of storage arrays increases, so does the risk of encountering unrecoverable read errors with single parity RAID levels. RAID 6 can handle double drive failures, providing greater protection against data loss. This dramatically reduces the risk of complete data loss during RAID rebuilding

- This storage system features an embedded browser based management interface, WebPAM PROe, which eliminates the need to install additional software. This storage system can be configured and managed in an easy-to-use interface through an out-of-band Ethernet port. By using industry-standard management protocols, this storage system simplifies integration with third-party management applications
