Product description The VTrak J830sS Expansion Chassis from Promise Technology is a 24-bay expansion chassis with a 4U rackmount. It supports both SAS and SATA hard disk drives with speeds of 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s. It can also run any variatons of SAS and SATA hard disk drives or solid state drives simultaneously. It also has dual hot-swappable power supplies. These 80PLUS bronze-certified power supplies provide up to 85% power efficiency. This expansion chassis has a single active/active SAS JBOD I/O module, which has a total of two 6G mini SAS (4x) ports. Note: Another SAS JBOD I/O module can be added - Delivering a Reliable Storage Architecture
- This expansion chassis is a high performance SAS solution with advanced enterprise-level reliability and functionality. Delivered in a Storage Bridge Bay (SBB) 2.0 compliant package, this expansion chassis offers the full redundancy that is expected of an enterprise solution
- Fast SAS and SATA Performance
- Providing up to 24Gb/s of bandwidth over the external multilane 6G SAS host interface, this expansion chassis allows storage applications to access their data at high speeds. It is also fully backwards compatible with 3GB/s SAS and SATA hard disk drives. This gives you the ability to deploy 3Gb/s and 6GB/s SAS and SATA hard disk drives as well as solid state drives simultaneously
