Product description The Promise Technology VTrak x30 RAID Subsystem (32 TB) with 3U form factor has 16 drive bays that hold 16 x 2 TB drives and can be scaled up to 7 Expansion Chassis for a total of 136 drives. Compatible with Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, the subsystem offers 5.5 GB/s for reads and 2.2 GB/s for writes to meet the demands of video workflow.
Featured dual active-active 8 Gbps fiber channel controller with cache mirroring over a high-speed PCIe Gen 2 link ensures data availability by providing redundant data paths. Integrated dual power supply units, battery backed cache, and intelligent cache management protects your data and minimizes system downtime.
Protective features like controller fail-over strategies and autonomous healing technologies, along with robust RAID 5 and RAID 6 algorithms, improve system fault tolerance limits and ensure uninterrupted data access.
A Xeon C3500 Series processor, cached mirroring design, auto-regeneration of data to compensate frame drops, and quad 8 Gbps FC ports per controller combine together for faster video edit and playback.
