Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More The Expert VMR 8x40 Binocular from Pulsar is a compact and rugged binocular optimized for first responders and law enforcement personnel. At the core of the VMR series is an advanced Porro prism design and multicoated optics that transmit bright, contrast-rich images even in low-light conditions. A nitrogen-purged, lightweight carbon housing prevents interior fogging in rapid temperature changes, and integrated flip-up objective covers protect lens surfaces from sand, dirt, and moisture. These binoculars are engineered for a comfortable long-duration experience in the field. The Expert VMR series has been developed from the inside out to be a high-performance affordable handheld optical device. The optics, ergonomics, features, construction all indicate that these binoculars will stand the test of time in service of outdoorsmen, hobbyists, and tactical personnel. This configuration of the Expert VMR offers viewing modes toggled by two switchable internal filters. Contrast Mode is useful to enhance visibility in twilight and foggy conditions, Reflection Mode neutralizes unwanted light reflections from water, snow, ice, glass, and other non-metallic surfaces. The hermetically sealed body can withstand submersion to one meter for 30 minutes, ensuring that these binoculars are built to perform in inclement conditions from campground to battleground. - VMR series binoculars feature an advanced Porro prism design and multicoated optics that transmit bright, contrast-rich images even in low-light conditions.
