Product description Designed for businesses that need higher bandwidth for data centers and virtualization, the TS-463XU-RP 4-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP features 10GbE connectivity that delivers high performance with persistent throughput, along with storage scalability. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz AMD G-Series GX-420MC Quad-Core processor and 4GB of DDR3L RAM, which can be upgraded to 16GB. The 10GbE port accelerates virtualization, high-resolution video editing, and sharing, and drives file transfers with non-encrypted read speeds up to 946 MB/s and non-encrypted write speeds up to 441 MB/s, as well as encrypted read speeds up to 775 MB/s and encrypted write speeds up to 305 MB/s. An additional four Gigabit Ethernet ports provide additional network connectivity with support for failover, multi-IP settings, and port trunking/NIC teaming.
This 4-bay enclosure can natively house both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III hard drives and SSDs. When equipped with SSDs, users will have the option to take advantage of SSD caching to improve the workflow of random IOPS-demanding applications. Using the two 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports and three USB 2.0 Type-A ports, this QNAP NAS can be connected to other QNAP devices, including a UX-1200U-RP or UX-800U-RP expansion enclosure. Additionally, the TS-463XU-RP is validated with AES-NI and FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encryption, helping to prevent sensitive business data from unauthorized access and breaches.
QNAP has engineered this NAS to support JBOD and single disk modes, plus a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, each of which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both. It operates using dual redundant 250W power supplies and includes two Ethernet cables, two power cords, flat head screws for 3.5" HDDs, flat head screws for 2.5" HDDs, two holders, and two hangers.
