Product description The black QSC E118SW Passive Subwoofer is a high-performance direct radiation subwoofer, well suited for sound reinforcement applications including live performance, DJ and dance music, karaoke, and event production. The E118SW requires an amplifier with a minimum of 800W continuous (3200W peak) to power the 18" woofer, which offers a frequency response of 37 to 230 Hz (-6 dB) with a peak SPL 133 dB.
QSC recommends the use of a speaker processor or a power amplifier with integrated DSP in order to set crossovers, limiting, and equalization to ensure the best performance. QSC's GXD or PLD amplifiers, as well as TouchMix digital mixers offer on-board DSP and factory-tuned presets, which provide settings for live sound reinforcement, stage monitoring, dance music, and karaoke.
The rugged plywood enclosure is coated in black textured paint and features a heavy-duty grille lined with foam for protection. A threaded, M20 pole socket and speaker pole are provided for sub/satellite use with any of the E-Series two-way full-range loudspeakers. For portable applications, the E118SW includes attachment points for four optional casters. - 800W continuous, 3200W peak
