Product description The black RCF NX 45-A is a 15" 2-way 1400W active loudspeaker designed to offer accurate phase and wide frequency response for DJs, musicians, audio engineers, and rigging technicians in clubs, houses of worship, concert venues, and live stage applications. Its Class-D amplifiers deliver 1400W of power to a 15" neodymium woofer and 4" titanium compression driver, yielding a frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz. On-board FirPHASE filters deliver optimum imaging and phase response with minimal latency. Built-in DSP provides thermal and RMS protections plus a soft limiter. The EQ features two settings—one linear and one bass-enhancing. Connect mic or line signals to the XLR and 1/4" inputs and choose between mic or line sensitivity. Easily daisy-chain speakers via the XLR 3-pin output. Standard powerCON input and output jacks are employed for straightforward integration with typical power configurations. The NX 45-A's Baltic birch plywood cabinet features built-in carry handles, multiple rigging points, and a 35mm pole socket to grant ease of installation. - Class-D Amplification
- The 1400W Class-D amplifier features a solid machined aluminum structure, which not only stabilizes the amplifier during transportation, but also assists in heat dissipation. The internal DSP has limiters and protections for the transducers and includes the special FiRPHASE filters to achieve a coherent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortion. A single button shapes the sound for background music purposes when the system plays at minimum volume levels.
- FiRPHASE Technology
- RCF speakers are designed by using FiRPHASE, a proprietary and advanced FIR filtering technology conceived for delivering transparent sound, clarity, and accurate stereo images to the listener. The FiRPHASE algorithm optimizes dynamics, amplitude, and phase patterns while ensuring minimum system latency.
- Linear High-Frequency Response
- The RCF ND940 compression driver utilizes a 4" titanium diaphragm and 1.4" exit throat to handle frequencies above 650 Hz. The voice coil features a high-temperature kapton former. The assembly process takes advantage of the RCF proprietary Direct Drive technology. The diaphragm's suspension has been designed following extensive studies aimed at minimizing distortion and extending low-frequency range.
- Strong Cabinet
- The NX cabinet is built with heavy-duty birch plywood coated with black textured epoxy. A sturdy powder-coated metal grille protects the front, and an acoustically transparent foam backing on the inside of the grille ensures protection from dust and humidity. Two ergonomic recessed handles are positioned on the sides of the speaker and four Quick-Lock-Pin rigging points allow easy rigging.
- Simple Controls
- Rear-panel controls include a two-position EQ mode switch, mic/line input sensitivity selection, and volume knob. LEDs provide clear indication of power, signal, and limiter status.
